Night Support Worker 

 Location: Glasgow (Various Locations) 

Salary: £12.60 per hour 

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Night Shift)

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across multiple supported accommodation and care settings throughout Glasgow.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of the people we support overnight, maintaining a calm, professional, and supportive environment.This is a hands-on role within a 24-hour service, where your presence, empathy, and reliability will make a genuine difference in people’s lives.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide      overnight support and supervision to the people we support.
  • Carry      out regular safety and wellbeing checks.
  • Respond      appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
  • Record      and report any safeguarding or welfare concerns.
  • Maintain      accurate logs and handovers for day staff.
  • Assist      the people we support residents according to individual care and support      plans.

What We’re Looking For

  • SSSC      registration (or eligibility to register upon appointment).
  • PVG      Scheme membership essential.
  • SVQ      Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this      training provided).
  • Experience      supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally within homelessness, social      care, or supported accommodation.
  • Excellent      communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Calm      and professional approach to challenging situations.
  • Ability      to work independently and as part of a small night team.

Concierge

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £12.21 per hour 

RESPONSIBLE TO: Unit Manager

PURPOSE At the Talbot Association, we believe that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to move forward in life. The Concierge role is central to creating this environment within our accommodation services.

As the first point of contact for many residents and visitors, the Concierge helps to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive atmosphere. By combining practical responsibilities with respect and understanding for individuals, the role contributes directly to Talbot’s mission of offering stability, guidance, and hope to people facing difficult circumstances.

All work will be carried out in line with:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safeguard      and promote the wellbeing, safety, and dignity of all individuals.
  • Communicate      effectively and respectfully with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Monitor,      promote, and maintain health, safety, and security in the working      environment.
  • Work      in a trauma-informed manner that recognises the impact of past experiences      on current behaviours.

MAIN TASKS

  • Ensure      the overall security of the unit.
  • Hold      responsibility for keys and access systems as required.
  • Complete      scheduled fire safety checks and record outcomes.
  • Conduct      regular building checks to ensure safety, security, and wellbeing.
  • Prevent      unauthorised access to the premises.
  • Respond      to incidents of vandalism, criminal, aggressive, or anti-social      behaviour—taking appropriate steps to ensure safety, including involving      on-duty staff or emergency services if necessary.
  • Identify      and report maintenance, repair, or health and safety issues.
  • Undertake      light domestic tasks to maintain cleanliness and order in communal areas.
  • Record      and report incidents, concerns, and observations accurately.
  • Seek      guidance and support from duty staff when appropriate.
  • Promote      and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with Health      & Safety policies.

Qualifications No formal qualification required. Applications are welcomed from individuals with relevant academic, vocational, or life experience.

Experience Desirable: experience in social care, residential care, hostel, or healthcare settings. Transferable experience from customer service, security, or community-based roles will also be considered.

Senior Practice Development Lead

Location: Glasgow

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer / Senior Management Team Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £ 46,000

The Talbot Association is seeking a highly skilled Senior Practice Development Lead to drive excellence across our care and support services. This is a pivotal leadership role that will shape practice quality, workforce capability, and service development throughout the organisation.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Practice Development Lead will champion high-quality, person-centred, trauma-informed practice across all Talbot Association services. You will ensure our support reflects our values of compassion, dignity, and inclusion, while meeting the standards of the SSSC, Health and Social Care Standards, and any regulatory improvement requirements.

This role is central to empowering managers and staff to deliver consistent, safe, and enabling care—improving outcomes for the people we support and ensuring our services remain modern, compliant, and continuously improving.

Key Responsibilities

1. Practice Leadership and Quality Assurance

  • Lead      and inspire continuous improvement across all care and support services.
  • Develop,      implement, and review quality assurance systems that exceed regulatory      expectations.
  • Ensure      compliance with Care Inspectorate requirements and SSSC Codes of Practice.
  • Implement      performance systems to support managers in achieving KPIs.
  • Analyse      audit data to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.
  • Promote      reflective practice and learning from incidents, complaints, and feedback.
  • Foster      a culture of management-led problem solving and risk reduction.

2. Workforce Learning and Development

  • Implement      and monitor the organisation’s Learning and Development Framework.

Essential Criteria

  • Substantial      (10+ years) experience in Health Care, Social Work, Social Care, or a      related discipline (degree or equivalent substantial experience).
  • Current      and maintained registration with the Scottish Social Services Council      (SSSC).
  • Previous      wide responsibility for service leadership and implementing quality      assurance.
  • Strong      knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC Codes of Practice.
  • Evidence      of designing, delivering, and evaluating adult group learning to influence      practice.
  • Experience      managing teams and implementing HR and Health & Safety policy.
  • Fluent      in advocating for trauma-informed, person-centred, and rights-based      approaches.

The Talbot Association is seeking a dynamic Director of Development and Operations to help deliver our Strategic Plan, champion our mission, and lead transformational organisational development. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in future-proofing our services and strengthening our impact across Scotland.

About the Role

Working closely with the CEO — and operating with a high degree of autonomy — you will lead organisational modernisation, service development, and operational excellence across the Association. You will help ensure Talbot remains known for compassionate, trauma-informed, person-centred practice while driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic growth.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will lead senior staff, shape new models of care, build strong external partnerships, and ensure high-quality, compliant services aligned with Scotland’s evolving social care landscape.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Provide      strategic and operational leadership across all services in line with Care      Inspectorate, SSSC, and National Care Service standards.
  • Line      manage the Senior Practice Development Lead and inspire high-performing,  trauma-informed teams.
  • Implement robust performance management, data, and outcome-monitoring systems.
  • Ensure safeguarding, risk management, quality assurance, and HR practice meet      regulatory expectations.
  • Drive positive outcomes from inspections and audits.

2. Organisational Development & Modernisation

  • Deliver priorities within the Talbot Association Business Plan, including digital      transformation, governance development, workforce planning, and      performance improvement.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Significant experience in a senior strategic or operational leadership role within      social care, housing, or community wellbeing.
