Since 1970, the Talbot Association has stood alongside Glasgow’s most vulnerable individuals those facing the complex realities of homelessness, addiction, mental ill-health, social isolation, and long-term instability. As part of Scotland’s evolving landscape of social care, we are committed to delivering person-centred, trauma-informed, and rights-based support that respects the dignity, voice, and choices of everyone we walk with.
We aim to create safe, respectful spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Our support is grounded in compassion, flexibility, and non-judgement, helping individuals reclaim stability, self-worth, and a sense of belonging within a community of their choice.
For over five decades, Talbot has grown, evolved, and deepened its mission but our core values have remained unchanged. We believe in the inherent worth of every person, and we strive daily to offer not just services, but solidarity. A place where compassion leads, and no one is left behind.
Where Everyone Belongs
Rooted in the life and example of Venerable Matt Talbot, our work is guided by a spirit of compassion, humility, and hope. His journey of struggle, healing, and renewal reminds us that faith can be a source of strength and transformation for anyone, whatever their path in life.
The Talbot Association was born from this same spirit a simple act of love and solidarity with those most in need. Though our roots are in the Christian tradition and the values that shaped our beginning, our doors and our hearts are open to all.
Like the city we belong to, we are diverse, welcoming, and woven from many stories, faiths, and beliefs. We believe that every person carries their own sacred worth, and that healing and hope take many forms. We welcome everyone of any faith or none who seeks community, dignity, and renewal. In this shared space, we walk together in kindness and understanding, building a community where everyone belongs.
