Get Emergency Homeless Help

 

If you do not have a safe place to stay, or you are worried about losing your home, you are not alone. You can get help from Glasgow City Council.

You have the right to ask for help at any time. The council will listen to you, take your situation seriously, and explain what support is available.
If you need somewhere safe to stay, temporary accommodation can be provided straight away.


Get help by phone (if you need urgent support)

You can call and tell them you want to make a homeless application.


Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 4:45pm
Friday: 8:45am – 3:55pm

You do not need to know what to say staff will guide you through the process.


Get help in person

If it feels easier to speak to someone face to face, you can visit a Community Homeless Service during opening hours.


Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 4:45pm

    44 South Portland Street, Glasgow G5 9JJ
     

Apply online (if it’s not urgent)

If you are safe for now and do not need help today, you can request homelessness assistance online through the Glasgow City Council website.

Important to know

  • You do not need to be sleeping rough to get help
     
  • Being asked to leave, fleeing harm, or having nowhere safe to go all count
     
  • Support is available regardless of your background or circumstance
